Gas leak forces evacuation of 70 in Beaverton

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — Seventy people were safely evacuated Thursday morning after a gas line ruptured near Cedar Hills Boulevard.

Beaverton police and TVF&R reported the incident around 9:30 a.m. Both businesses and residents had to be evacuated.

Cedar Hills Boulevard at Jenkins Road was temporarily closed, but reopened at 10:40 a.m.
