PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A little dog who went overboard into the Columbia River was rescued by deputies on Saturday.

Ollie was wearing a life jacket when he ended up in the river near North Portland Harbor Range.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office marine unit found him several hundred yards away from the sailboat he came from.

He was “tired but happy” when the deputies returned him to his owners.

“Thank you Ollie for setting a great example and wearing your life jacket!,” the sheriff’s office said.

Pan Pan, Pan Pan, Pan Pan! The CCSO Marine Unit responded to call of a kanine overboard in the vicinity of the North…
