Rojo the llama to retire after 12 years of spreading joy

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Rojo the llama will retire after the Grand Floral parade this year.

For the last 12 years, Rojo has been making regular visits to schools, hospitals and charity events. He has also participated in many Rose Festival events.

Rojo lives in Ridgefield with Mountain Peaks Therapy Llamas & Alpacas. His owner Lori says other llamas will be taking over for Rojo as he enters retirement.

Lori says Rojo loves large crowds but will enjoy relaxing from now on. A retirement party is being planned for him.
