PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A rescue dog that went missing after his owner was hit by a car has been found safe.
Hillsboro Fire & Rescue posted the dog went missing on Tuesday night. By Thursday afternoon, they said he had been found.
The 2-year-old mastiff mix ran away after his owner was hit near NE Cornell Road and NE 17th Avenue in Hillsboro.
His former foster caretaker Amanda Kreeft led the charge to find him while his owner is home recovering.
Kreeft told KOIN 6 that employees at Quality Chain helped locate him.
