EUGENE, Ore. (KOIN) – Now that the body of Cheryl Hart has been recovered, prosecutors have charged her longtime boyfriend with murder.

On Tuesday, Jeremy Milutin appeared in Lane County Circuit Court where he was charged with murder, fleeing or attempting to elude police, unauthorized use of a vehicle and abuse of a corpse. The incidents all occurred on August 5.

During the investigation, detectives learned Hart was last seen in Eugene on the evening of August 4 with Milutin.

The murder suspect visited a Eugene store at 7 a.m. on August 5, and he left in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was stolen from Columbia County on July 26.

Hart’s body was later found in Klamath County.

A probable cause affidavit in the case has been sealed. Milutin has been held in jail since his arrest on August 10, and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
