Car destroyed in Brush Prairie house fire

BRUSH PRAIRIE, Wash. (KOIN) — Clark County firefighters were able to put out a house fire before it spread to a large cedar tree nearby.

The garage and small part of the house were the only parts damaged, but a car parked in front of the garage was destroyed.

There was smoke damage, but the homeowner and her 3 dogs got out and the Red Cross is working with her to find temporary housing.

The Clark County Fire Marashal is investigating the cause of the fire, but it may have started in an electrical panel.
