Car hits pole, knocks out power in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A car hit a power pole Thursday evening in Northeast Portland, knocking out power in the area for hours. 

Pacific Power said the outage happened after the car hit the pole at Northeast 102nd Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street just before 7 p.m. 

More than 3,600 customers were without power about 45 minutes later, the company said. 

Crews expected to have power restored by 3 a.m. Friday.
