PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 28-year-old man, who had participated in several church youth groups for the last nine years, has been charged with multiple counts of child molestation in Clark County, and now deputies are seeking more information.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said Robert Wilson Rector was charged with three counts of third-degree child molestation and one count of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation.

Rector, according to deputies, had been involved with church groups and other youth activities since 2009. He also participated in out-of-state travel with those groups.

Deputies said it’s an ongoing investigation.

Anyone witnesses or anyone with more information is asked to call Clark County Major Crimes Sgt. Todd Barsness at 360.397.2020 or email Todd.Barsness@clark.wa.gov
