PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Tillamook County Courthouse is closed until further notice due to an unknown odor that raised concern on Friday, according to the Oregon Courts’ website.

The courthouse on Laurel Avenue was closed to the public around 2:30 p.m. November 8 as a precautionary measure after an odd smell was detected. Out of concern for employees and visitors, the building will remain closed until “the odor can be identified and deemed safe.”

In the meantime, all Circuit Court operations will be conducted in a building at 6225 Officers Row in Tillamook, starting Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.

Updates on the closure and hours of operation at the temporary location can be found online.
