Corny tribute to Trail Blazer Jerome Kersey

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Bella Organic Pumpkin Patch and Winery is honoring the late Jerome Kersey through its corn maze. The theme of this year’s maze on Sauvie Island is Rip City. The maze features the Blazer pin wheel, as well as Kersey’s number and initials.

Kersey died suddenly earlier this year. Doctors said he died from a pulmonary thromboembolism. A blood clot broke loose from his left calf, traveled to his lungs and caused his death. He was 52.

The Rip City maze opens Sunday at noon. It will be open through October 31st.
