PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man and woman died in a rollover crash on I-405 in Southwest Portland Thursday night.
Portland police said the crash happened at about 9 p.m. near the Highway 26 exit on northbound I-405 — closing the interchange for several hours.
According to the preliminary information, the sedan overcorrected while merging and rolled over.
On June 18, authorities publicly identified the victims as 55-year-old Mark James Herr of Hillsboro and 54-year-old Tonya Lee Smith of Buxton, Oregon. It was unclear who was driving as both people were ejected during the rollover, officials said.
