3 vehicles, 2 impaired drivers, one crash along I-84

GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 38-year-old Gresham man faces DUII charges after a crash along I-84 that shut the freeway down in the very early hours of Friday.

The crash involved a Ford Taurus, a pickup and a semi truck plus two drivers who allegedly were impaired. The Taurus slammed into the back-end of the semi. Then the pickup, driven by Jamie Boyer, hit the Taurus.

The Taurus driver, whose name has not been released, suffered serious injuries. Authorities suspect he was one of the impaired drivers.

Boyer was arrested at the scene for DUII.

The freeway re-opened around 5 a.m.
