VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — A Chevy Suburban ended up on top of a Volkswagen SUV in Vancouver Sunday afternoon, downing power lines and sending one person to the hospital.
The crash shortly before 3 p.m. happened along NW Erwin O Rieger Memorial Hwy and NW Lower River Road, the Vancouver Fire Department said.
Two people in the Volkswagen managed to get themselves out and were not hurt, but 2 people in the Suburban needed help to get out. One of the people in the Suburban was taken away by ambulance but is expected to recover.
Clark County PUD came to help with the downed power lines. It’s unclear at this time what led to the crash and the investigation is ongoing by the Vancouver police.
