2 dead, 2 hurt in Hwy 211 crash

COLTON, Ore. (KOIN) -- Two people died after a crash in Clackamas County on Sunday, the Oregon State Police said.

The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. on S. Hwy 211 and Oswalt Road, near milepost 20. Oregon State Police say 33-year-old Jesus David Jay Tharp, of Colton, was driving a Mini Cooper westbound on Oswalt Road when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Oswalt and Hwy 211. The Mini Cooper collided with a 2000 Holr motor home.

Tharp and a passenger in his car, 28-year-old Dylan James Taylor of Burns, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver and passenger in the motor home were not seriously injured but were taken to a hospital.
