Motorcyclist seriously hurt in Lloyd District crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Milwaukie man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the Lloyd District Monday evening.

Portland police said a motorcycle and an SUV crashed at the intersection of Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast Multnomah Street around 5:40 p.m.

The motorcycle was going northbound on Grand and the SUV was going west on Multnomah when they motorcycle crashed into the driver’s side of the SUV.

The motorcycle rider, later identified as Robert “Red” Henderson, 64, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

The other driver, a 39-year-old woman, stayed to cooperate with investigators. She was not hurt.

Police are still working to learn who had the right-of-way in this crash.
