Margaret White, 74, was pronounced dead at OHSU

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 74-year-old driver died Wednesday night on Highway 224 after an oncoming car lost control and veered into her lane, officials said.

The crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. near milepost 13 in Damascus.

A Chevy Trailblazer was traveling westbound when its driver lost control going through a curve on wet pavement, according to Oregon State Police.

Troopers said the Trailblazer slid into the eastbound lane, colliding with a Subaru Forester driven by Margaret White of Estacada.

White was taken to OHSU where she was pronounced dead.
