Motorcyclist critically hurt in Battle Ground crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A motorcyclist was critically hurt in a collision with an SUV in Battle Ground shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

The motorcycle and Toyota SUV collided in the 27400 block of Northeast 182nd Avenue. Witnesses and the 73-year-old driver told investigators the SUV turned left into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

First responders performed CPR on the motorcyclist, who was then rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. 

The 2 people in the Toyota suffered minor injuries and refused treatment. They’re cooperating with authorities and no charges have been brought at this time.

Deputies identified the motorcyclist as 33-year-old Steven Lenz of Vancouver.
