Motorcyclist dies in NE Portland collision


PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A motorcyclist died after crashing with a car Tuesday night in Northeast Portland.

According to Portland police, the car was driving north on Northeast 148th Avenue and was turning west onto Fremont Street when the motorcycle crashed into the car. The motorcycle was behind the car.

Speed and alcohol aren’t believed to be factors.

The driver of the car cooperated with investigators and was released from the scene.

Northeast 148th Avenue was closed from Sandy Boulevard to Fremont Street as PPB’s Major Crash Team investigated.
