PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A motorcyclist was airlifted with serious injuries after colliding with a car Friday afternoon in northern Marion County.

Deputies said the crash happened just before 2 p.m. in the 3000 block of Matheny Road NE.

The Honda motorcycle and a Mazda sedan were both going westbound on Matheny Road NE when the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the car as it tried to turn into a driveway, according to officials.

The motorcyclist — 34-year-old Andrey Feoktistov of Woodburn — was taken by Life Flight to a hospital in critical condition.

Authorities don’t think speed was a factor.
