2 dead in crash near Sheridan on Hwy 18

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people were killed in a 2-car crash Wednesday night near Sheridan.

The crash happened at 7:30 p.m. about 2 miles east of Sheridan on Hwy 18, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Oregon State Police said a Honda Civic turned into the path of a Honda Accord. The driver and front-seat passenger of the Civic were taken to a Salem hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two back seat passengers in the Civic, Ralph Lehn, 35, of McMinnville and Claudie Barclay, 49, of Eugene, died from their injuries.

The driver of the Accord was not seriously hurt.
