Driver, 22, charged with manslaughter in SE Portland crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 22-year-old driver faces manslaughter and other charges for a crash that took the life a woman in Southeast Portland on August 12.

Zodiac P. Clark is also charged with reckless driving and DUII for the crash that happened at SE 112th and Division. Court documents say Clark was headed east on Division when he crashed into a southbound car driven by Elena Davinka.

She was rushed to OHSU but died from her injuries. Ms. Davinka was 48.

Officers at the scene said Clark smelled of alcohol and slurred his speech, documents said. His blood alcohol content was .13%, above the legal limit.

Clark appeared in court on August 26 for a release hearing. His bail was lowered to $50K, which he’ll be required to pay 10% of to be released.
