PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people were seriously hurt in a head-on crash on Highway 99E Wednesday afternoon.
Oregon State Police are investigating after the 36-year-old driver of a northbound Toyota Tacoma crossed the center line and hit an oncoming Jeep Commander. The man and the 28-year-old Hermiston woman driving the Jeep were both seriously injured.
Clackamas Fire said the drivers were trapped in their cars and had to be cut out before they were rushed to trauma centers.
The Toyota driver was airlifted to the hospital and the woman was taken by ambulance.
The crash happened just south of Oregon City and Hwy 99E was closed from S. 2nd Street to South End Road.
