PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland police made 6 different arrests over the holiday weekend, all on gun-related charges.

The police are highlighting these arrests because they believe there is a high probability that these arrests prevented further violence.

The suspects ranged in age from 18 to 28-years-old.

Josiah Cormona, Eric Espiritu-villaneu, Bennie London and Aronte Kerney are all facing charges for firearm possession.

Erik Butler, 28, is facing a parole violation while Jaron Cuie, 26, is facing attempted murder, assault, and unlawful use of a weapon charges.
