PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Friday night street racing mission resulted in 2 arrests, 2 cars being towed, 27 traffic stops and 18 tickets given by Portland police.

The mission was part of PPB’s announced plan to crack down on street racing events in Portland.

Twelve officers took part in Friday’s event, and authorities said there will be similar missions throughout the summer during unannounced crackdowns.

No details were given on where the street racing mission was deployed, not was there any information about those arrested.

However, those arrested could receive jail time, fines, and towed vehicles.
