PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Washington County man was convicted on Wednesday of several counts of sex abuse involving children.

James Kee Park will be sentenced next month for 1st-degree rape, 1st-degree sodomy and 5 counts of 1st-degree sex abuse.

The investigation began in May of 2016 when a family member reported possible abuse to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

A young child acquainted with Park told a babysitter and a family member about the abuse, deputies said. A second child who was also known to Park reported similar abuse around the same time.

One of the children said she was abused by Park multiple times, according to investigators.
