PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Roseburg father faces multiple charges after allegedly leaving a 5-year-old at River Forks Park and trying to give away an infant.
Someone called 911 shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday about the 5-year-old left behind. When officers arrived they learned the father, later identified as Bryant Noe Garcia, tried to give away a 10-month-old before he left with the baby in his car.
An Amber Alert plan was being put into place. But Garcia and the infant were found at a home in the 1200 block of NW Hicks Street in Roseburg around 6:20 p.m.
Neither the 5-year-old nor the infant were hurt and both were reunited with their mother, authorities said.
Garcia, 30, is charged with child abandonment and child neglect. He’s being held in the Douglas County Jail.
