Halling again expected in court in deputies shooting

Dante James Halling faces attempted murder charges

HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) — The man accused of shooting 2 Washington Couunty deputies near Hagg Lake in August is expected to be in court for a probable cause hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Dante James Halling was also shot during the August 8 incident that wounded Deputy Chris Iverson and Cpl. Jeremy Braun. Iverson was treated and released, but Braun was seriously injured and remains in the hospital.

Halling, 56, spent 2 weeks in the hospital before being released and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on separate felony warrants — one for violating probation on an attempted assault and the other for parole violation.
