PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A dog was shot while exercising with its owner on the Marshall campus of Grant High School late Friday night, Portland police said.
A custodian at the school called police around 10:30 p.m. after the dog’s owner told him about the shooting. Officers found the dog — a hound of some type — and its owner at a nearby animal hospital. It’s not clear at this time the severity of the dog’s wounds.
There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
In June 2018, Barak Rosen was found shot to the death at the same location. The 30-year-old died of multiple gunshot wounds in what remains an unsolved homicide.
Rosen was found around 4:40 a.m. Investigators later said there was a call of shots fired about 5 hours before, but weren’t positive that report and Rosen’s death were connected.
