PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After making 5 arrests over the weekend, the Portland Police Bureau is determined to send a message to the street racing community.

Over the weekend, PPB made 26 traffic stops, towed 4 cars, and arrested 5 suspects for reckless driving, 2 of whom were also arrested for a DUII.

One of these suspects, Sean Philip Moore, was arrested for reckless driving, DUII and 5 counts of reckless endangering after he allegedly nearly struck multiple officers.

PPB said they’ll be utilizing resources on the ground and in the air with the help of their Air Support Unit in order to limit these street racers.
