PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Yachats man was arrested at the end of February after deputies said he fired a gun from inside his home — causing a bullet to go through his neighbor’s window.

On Feb. 27, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a bullet had passed through a house’s living room window near 2nd Street.

Once deputies arrived on scene, they learned that a bullet had in fact gone through the double-pane exterior window of the home.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Two hours later, deputies found the source of the shot by tracing the trajectory to a nearby residence.

During the investigation, deputies learned that the person inside the neighboring home — Terry L. Davidson — discharged his firearm in negligence.

Davidson was taken into custody and booked into the Lincoln County Jail. He was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, recklessly endangering and 1st-degree criminal mischief.
