PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Three people are in custody and 2 more are wanted in connection with the home burglary of a late World War 2 hero in Douglas County.
The home of Major General Marion Carl was targeted on July 22, 2018, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a release. Inside the home were personal items, war memorabilia and the medals awarded to the Major General.
His campaign ribbons were taken, authorities said, along with ammunition, fishing gear and knives — one of which was inscribed with Carl’s name.
Investigators arrested 3 people on August 2: Kalianna Gilkey-Sorensen, 19; Brady Anderson-Vierra, 20; and 56-year-old Kelly Crawford, all from Glide. They’re charged with theft by receiving.
But 2 more people are being sought: a man named “Matt” and Soren Sorensen, 41, who are believed to be responsible for the burglary.
