PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Detectives are hoping to hear from people who may have been victimized by a registered sex offender who was indicted Wednesday on 19 counts of sex abuse of minors.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said Adam Michael Wallace, 39, is accused of using social media apps like Instagram, SnapChat, Grindr and Hornet to talk to underage males. Investigators said he would pretend to be younger and arrange to meet with the boys with promises of gifts.
He currently faces the following charges in Washington County: Four counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of third-degree sodomy, four counts of second-degree sexual abuse, two counts of online sexual corruption of a child and seven counts of luring a minor.
Wallace, who lives in Aurora, is registered as a sex offender and is facing accusations in Washington, Marion and Linn Counties in Oregon and Cowlitz County in Washington.
Investigators have reason to believe there are more victims and hope more will come forward. Anyone with information should contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 503.846.2700 or Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 503.566.6910.
