Man hurt in early morning shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland police were called to the Vernon neighborhood on reports of gunfire around 5:05 a.m. Sunday morning. When they got to the area of Northeast Jarrett and 14th, officers found that bullets had hit at least three parked cars.

About 15 minutes later, officers learned a male patient had arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. According to police, the man is expected to survive.

Portland Police did not give any information regarding possible suspects.
