Man with knife sought in NW Portland sex assault

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland Police officers are looking for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman Friday morning in Northwest Portland.

The assault happened at about 4:30 a.m. near Northwest Glisan Street and Northwest 13th Avenue. A caller told officers the man was armed with a knife.

Officers learned that the man sexually assaulted a woman and he ran from the area after a second woman fended him off.

One woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The women didn’t know the man, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

The suspect is described as a white male older than 40 with long hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a black hoodie and tan shorts.
