PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A fire that destroyed a house under construction in North Portland last week was arson, according to investigators.
The blaze broke out around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 in the 4100 block of North Foss Court.
No one was hurt in the fire. The building that was burned was under construction as an addition to the main house on the property and the only person home at the time was able to escape safely.
Portland Fire & Rescue said Tuesday that officials from the PF&R Arson Investigation Unit decided the fire was arson based on evidence at the scene.
