PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An Ohio man is sitting in an Oregon jail after a traffic stop on Hwy 140E led to the discovery of 632 pounds of pot and nearly 37 pounds of the extract used to make hash oil.
An Oregon State Police trooper stopped a Chevy pickup for a traffic violation near milepost 15 around 3 p.m. Wednesday, officials said in a press release.
The trooper found probable cause to search the pickup, which is when the pot and the butane honey oil extract was found. Investigators said they learned the marijuana and the extract was on its way to Ohio.
Dustin R. Schoenhofer, 41, is now in the Klamath County Jail. He’s charged with exporting marijuana and extract, possession of marijuana and extract plus distribution of marijuana and extract.
