Paint dumped on 22 police cars in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — 22 Portland Police cars had paint dumped on them in NE Portland early Tuesday morning.

The cars are all in the precinct parking lot on NE Emerson Street. An officer on scene says no major damage was done to the vehicles. Most of the cars are assigned to the youth services division.

“We have plenty of patrol cars, this won’t impact operations too much,” the officer said. They are hoping the cars can be cleaned with soap and water.

The vandalism is the first reported disruption of May Day 2018. No major protests have been planned this year.
