PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man wanted for ramming a patrol car was taken into custody hours after the incident after officers noticed a house in the area had been burglarized.

The suspect rammed at least four vehicles, including a police car, shortly before noon. A perimeter was set up in the 3100 block of SE Powell Boulevard.

After 90 minutes of searching, police cleared the scene. As they were doing that, officials said, one officer spotted a house that had been burglarized. Police went into that house and found the suspect, who was arrested without incident.

No schools were affected by this incident.

The suspect was later identified as 33-year-old Tyler S. Hunt. He was wanted on numerous felony warrants.

Hunt was lodged into the Multnomah County Detention Center on 19 criminal counts and four outstanding warrants, including burglary, identity theft, robbery, assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
