Two Portland Police squad cars were damaged

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 27-year-old man was arrested after police said he threw rocks at their squad cars and shattered windows.

Portland Police said a man walked up to the North Precinct parking lot around 4 p.m. Saturday and started throwing large rocks at police cars. Some of the rocks were even directed towards a car with an officer sitting inside.

After damaging 2 cars, the suspect ran off. Officers chased after him and tackled him to the ground.

The suspect, Nathan Prime, was arrested and taken to the Multnomah County Jail on multiple charges, including criminal mischief.
