PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man who allegedly tried to lure girls into his van near David Douglas High School was questioned by Portland police, who said that at this time “there are no identified crimes that were committed and no arrest has been made.”

Investigators looked into the case after at least 2 separate attempts on Wednesday near the school. Initial reports indicated the man may have tried to offer the girls money to get them into his van, officials said.

In a statement Thursday afternoon, PPB said: “We recognize these incidents can increase public fear and we ask all community members to remain diligent for the safety of our youth.”
