Rape suspect cuts off ankle monitor, at large from Aloha

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man out on bail for 18 separate sex crimes cut off his ankle monitor and is on the run, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

Josiah Rosales was last known to be in the 17800 block of SW Breckenridge Lane in Aloha when, authorities said, he cut off his ankle monitor.

Rosales was originally being held on $3 million bail but had it reduced to $1.25 million. He posted that bail in September and was released.

The 29-year-old is currently wanted for 3 counts of rape, 4 counts of sex abuse, 4 counts of sodomy, 2 counts of unlawful sexual penetration, 2 counts of luring a minor, 2 counts of encouraging child sex abuse and attempted sodomy.

His record indicates 13 felony sex charges dating back to 2017.

Rosales is 5-foot-9 and 300 pounds.
