PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Gresham Police say two recently reported abduction attempts have been deemed not credible.

Two separate reports, both from 11-year-old girls, came in on June 7 and June 9. On June 7, the girl said she was approached by an older white man in a red sedan near Northeast 194th Avenue and Northeast Davis Street.

On June 9, another girl said she was walking on NE 162nd near NE Hoyt Street around 6:15 p.m. when a man drove up to her and offered her “treats” for her and the dog if she got into his truck.

The girl ran away.

Police say they determined neither threat was credible after reviewing video surveillance in the area.
