PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person was killed and two others were hospitalized due to a shooting in Northeast Portland Thursday night, Portland police said.
Police rushed to the scene in the 1800 block of NE 66th around 9 p.m. and taped off an area around NE 65th and Hancock, a residential area with an apartment complex. Officers arrived to find two victims with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers then learned of a third victim, who had arrived at a local hospital in a private vehicle. The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The deceased victim was later identified as 28-year-old Shawndell DeShazo II.
No suspect information has been given at this time. Police say more information will be released when appropriate.
