PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was arrested on Monday after assaulting a victim he had allegedly stabbed the night before.

Around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, the suspect who was later identified as Daury Lee allegedly went up to the victim’s apartment and began kicking and punching the door. The victim opened the door and Lee began punching him.

When the victim fought back, Lee took out a steak knife and tried stabbing him. The victim ultimately suffered a small laceration on his chest before Lee ran away. He refused any medical treatment once police arrived.

Police were unable to find Lee that night.

On Monday afternoon around 4 p.m., officers received a call from the same victim who said the man that stabbed him the previous day had returned.

According to Bumjoon Park, a Deputy District Attorney for Multnomah County, the victim stated he had seen Lee assaulting his apparent girlfriend and offered to let her stay at his own apartment. Later that day, Lee came back to the apartment with a knife sticking out of his pocket.

Lee reportedly punched the victim in the chest, called him a “little b—-” and walked away. The woman was still in the apartment but did not want to talk to police once they arrived.

Officers located Lee near the Pearl Court Apartments on Northwest Kearny Street. The 50-year-old was booked into Multnomah County Detention Center on an assault charge.
