Suspect arrested after flashing loaded gun in Old Town


Jesse Townsend, 23, was booked on a disorderly conduct charge

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was seen pulling out a loaded handgun near Northwest 3rd Avenue and Couch Street before police arrested him early Saturday morning.

A security guard was the one who saw Jesse Townsend pull the gun out rack the slide and put it back in his pocket. The guard flagged down nearby officers.

The officers quickly found Townsend and arrested him shortly after they found 2 loaded handguns on him. The 23-year-old was booked into Multnomah County Detention Center on a disorderly conduct charge.

Townsend does hold a valid concealed handgun license.
