PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man accused of kidnapping and raping a woman in Multnomah County was arrested Friday.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said Amissi Mungomba got into a parked car where the victim was sleeping in downtown Portland early in the morning on August 8.
She said he drove her to Corbett, sexually assaulted her and then left her on the side of the road. The sheriff’s office said she had to flag down a driver to get help.
The victim’s car was found in North Portland and Mungomba was arrested on August 9 on charges of rape, kidnapping, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and 2nd-degree theft.
