Vasiliy Yashchuk, 19, was allegedly caught on camera punching a security guard outside the KOIN Tower

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man allegedly caught on camera beating a KOIN Tower security guard is facing an assault charge.

The video showed a group of 3 men attacking the guard shortly after midnight on Saturday morning. The victim suffered a broken nose and tooth.

George Chumachenko, 19, Vasiliy Yashchuk, 19 and 20-year-old Andrea Feyster were arrested later that morning on disorderly conduct charges stemming from a separate incident. All 3 were booked and released on their own recognizance.

Yashchuk was arrested again on Tuesday and booked at Multnomah County Inverness Jail.

Court documents filed Wednesday show there is probable cause to charge Yashchuk with one count of 3rd-degree assault for allegedly attacking the security guard.

The document was filed after an officer recognized Yashchuk from the security video, according to Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Brian Davidson.

Yashchuk is scheduled to appear in court next week.
