PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teenager was found dead after a shooting in Southeast Portland Saturday night.
Portland police said Lorenzo C. Gordon, 18, was killed in the parking lot of the Springtree Apartments in the 600 block of SE 162nd Avenue around 8 p.m.
Officers found him in the back lot and requested medical help, but he died there.
Police said Gordon didn’t live at the Springtree Apartments. His address was listed on SE Powell Blvd., the former office of Youth Progress, a non-profit that provides services to youth in foster care and the juvenile system.
The program’s current office is on NE Halsey, a few blocks from where Gordon died. The office was closed Monday.
Residents the Springtree Apartments told KOIN 6 News they didn’t hear gunfire.
