Man arrested in fatal Vancouver hit-and-run


Police say they arrested the suspected driver Friday evening

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — The accused driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Vancouver has been arrested, according to police.

Dennis Bogle, 58, was arrested Friday evening at his home near SE Nancy Road and SE 10th Street. Police said they also found his Dodge truck on the property.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a shopping complex in the 500 block of SE Chkalov Drive, Vancouver police said. The woman was on the ground but conscious and alert when emergency responders arrived but she died later after being taken to an area hospital.

The owner of a nearby business told KOIN 6 News the woman was hit while taking out the trash from a Vietnamese restaurant. KOIN 6 News learned the woman was part of the family that owned and ran the Pho Ton 4 Restaurant.

The woman’s name has not yet been released.

Nearby security cameras recorded the hit-and-run and the dark green Dodge Ram flatbed pickup which allegedly belongs to Bogle.
