Woman pleads guilty to slashing Taco Bell customer’s throat

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman who was caught on video slashing the throat of a customer at the Taco Bell in Sandy plead guilty to assault.

The Sandy Police Department said Caley Mason, 21, was originally charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, menacing, recklessly endangering another person and unlawful use of a weapon but she took a plea agreement for second-degree assault.

Police said the man was arguing with Mason before she left the Taco Bell, the came back in and slashed his throat. They did not know each other.

The victim survived after getting stitches in his neck.

She was sentenced to seven years in prison with three years of post-prison supervision.
